However, wouldn't the PSP boi be more like a rival, than a cousin? The console designer isn't produced by the same company as Nintendo.

Oh its not Wii's family cousin, its PS3's family cousin. I just call all handheld consoles cousins because they're smaller counterparts to the bigger systems. He'd be the rival to like DS-DSi.
